Report a concern immediately

If you have an urgent safeguarding concern involving a young person, contact us at safety@monturalearn.com. In an emergency, always contact the police or emergency services first.

1. Our commitment

Monturalearn takes the safeguarding of children and young people extremely seriously. We recognise that the welfare of every student using our platform is paramount. This policy applies to all staff, contractors, ambassadors, and anyone acting on behalf of Monturalearn.

2. Scope

This policy covers all individuals under the age of 18 who interact with Monturalearn's platform, content, or community. It applies across all digital touchpoints including the main platform, email communications, and any social media activity carried out under the Monturalearn brand.

3. Principles

Our safeguarding approach is built on the following principles:

4. Platform design safeguards

Monturalearn is designed with young people's safety built in from the ground up:

5. Recognising concerns

Anyone associated with Monturalearn who becomes aware of a safeguarding concern — including signs of abuse, exploitation, or a child being at risk — must report it immediately to our safeguarding lead via safety@monturalearn.com.

Concerns should never be ignored or handled informally. All reports are treated confidentially and investigated promptly.

6. Ambassador and content creator safeguarding

All ambassadors and content creators under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian complete a consent form before participating. We do not ask minors to produce content that could identify their location, school, or personal details. Parental contact details are held on file for all under-18 participants.

7. Data and privacy

We handle all data relating to minors in accordance with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the ICO's Children's Code. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Policy review

This policy is reviewed at least annually and updated whenever there are changes in legislation, platform features, or best practice guidance. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent review.
